Whoop, whoop! The heavy hitters are releasing exciting new music, and today we will showcase the "Dutty Bus Riddim" along with a little Push Prep—the track that is expected to energize, no, mash up Trinidad Carnival 2026. After seeing Lady Lava create mayhem for Tobago's Carnival, we expect that she will take control of Trinidad's carnival. When Lady Lava takes over the streets of Port of Spain, she’ll embody the very “Madness” that David Rudder once sang about.

Lady Lava channels the spirit of carnival preparation with her captivating, down‑to‑earth vocals. The songwriting trio—Keisha Harris (Lady Lava), Dion Gomez, and Problem Child—captures the essence of island readiness, distilling the who, what, why, and where of carnivals across the diaspora. She is the boss, Lava is on fire and  her vibrant delivery makes the music shine even brighter. And let’s not forget the final polish: mixing and mastering by another proud Vincy, Parry Jack. Pure niceness!

Push Prep is more than a carnival anthem—it’s a cultural call to action. From the Dutty Bus Riddim to Parry Jack’s crisp engineering, every layer reminds us that Carnival is not just a moment; it’s a movement. Lava and her team have bottled the anticipation, the sweat, and the sweetness of preparation into a song that will echo across Port of Spain and the wider diaspora.

As Carnival 2026 approaches, Push Prep sets the tone: Lava is making sure that we are reminded that preparation means everything. So get ready, stay ready, and celebrate the madness that makes every Carnival unforgettable. If you did your prep work properly, then you will shine on the road for two memorable days of palancing. Sokah2Soca will be watching, listening, and vibing right alongside you.

Dive deeper into Caribbean music and culture at Sokah2Soca — your go-to source for Soca, Calypso, and Carnival coverage. First published on Sokah2Soca, now streaming live via Island Vybe Radio.

Today we feature new music from the Queen of Bacchanal, Destra Garcia. Her latest release, Happy People, is exactly what the title promises—joy, energy, and unapologetic vibes. And let’s be clear: we don’t care about the negative chatter. Why? Because we love the damn song. This tune is a bacchanal all day, every day.

The track was composed by Jason “Shaft” Bishop and Scott Galt, written by Shaft, and produced by Da Reel Deal Productions out of Barbados. Galt, of course, is part of the legendary De Red Boyz, and the engineering was handled by Andrew Denny. That lineup alone tells you this is Soca royalty. No watered‑down hybrids here—this is Da Real Deal.

The message hits home: don’t bring sourness into the band. Trinis are fun people who love to celebrate life, and the lyrics capture that spirit perfectly. Shaft’s writing encourages positivity and carefree living, reminding us that “happy people” don’t dwell on problems but instead seek a paradise free from struggle. Caribbean people know this, live it, and embody it every day.

And then there are the vocals. To put it in Soca language: Destra killed it. She slayed the track, proving that her year away from the scene didn’t make her stale—it made her sharper. She’s back, full of vibe, delivering fresh energy with the cream of Barbados’ Soca talent behind her.

So to the detractors: listen up. This is a Sokah2Soca-approved anthem, and we stand by it. Our fans know we understand Soca, and this one is a go. Share the post, spread the word, and let everyone know—the Queen of Bacchanal is back, and she’s on fire.

It’s not overcast today—but let’s make it “Rane” with sweet, sweet Soca! It's a Soca match made for the diaspora, Rane x De Red Boyz and we have Sweet Soca Magic to kick off Carnival 2026.

Carnival 2026 just got a whole lot sweeter with the release of “My Party” by the sensational Rane! This track is pure Caribbean sunshine—bright, bold, and bubbling with vibes. Produced by the legendary Trini-Bajan hitmakers De Red Boyz out of Barbados and penned by Trinidad’s lyrical genius Azaryah, this tune is soaked in island soul and ready to mash up the road!

Sweet like sugarcane, hot like a Savannah fete, and smooth like coconut water on a Carnival morning—“My Party” is a certified Sokah2Soca banger. From the first beat drop, you’ll feel the rhythm calling your waistline to action.
Our Island Vybe Radio DJs gave it the full stamp of approval—this one’s on heavy rotation alongside the freshest Soca releases for Carnival 2026 in sweet T&T. If you love Soca, you need to be locked in!

Don’t miss Nikki G, the unmistakable voice behind countless Soca hits, vibing to this groove and chatting it up with Rane in her latest interview. Follow Nikki G on all socials and get the inside scoop on the making of this Carnival anthem.

Whether you’re wining in Port of Spain, jumping up in Brooklyn, or liming in London—“My Party” is the soundtrack to your Carnival soul. It’s got that groove to move across the diaspora, and according to Farmer Nappy and De Red Boyz, this one already has a stamped passport!

So go ahead—press play, buss a wine, and let the music "Rane" down. Share this post far and wide, because this is our music. Love it. Promote it. Live it.
