Does Soca music make you wake up with a smile? Today we present the 'happy song' for Carnival 2025 by a very promising and authentic singer. Aisha Noel, a rising female artist in Trinbago, sings "Nothing Like Soca." "Nothing Like Soca" is a production of Soca royalty, Kyle Phillips of Badjohn Republic, and the bad boyz of Soca music, De Red Boyz out of Barbados. Kasey Phillips from Precision Productions performed the final magic of mixing and mastering. A very talented group of people got together to deliver this feel-good song for Carnival 2025.

Aisha's first release, "Nobody Be Safe," in 2018 laid the foundation for the artist she is today. As she persevered, we saw her progressive growth as a singer and now as a talented songwriter. This song exudes the confidence of the artist/songwriter, and with her beautiful smile comes a feeling of joy to those who love Soca music.

Aisha's soothing vocals convey her passion for life and her love for Soca music. It's evident that Aisha is deeply passionate about her craft, and when she collaborates with these talented producers, she elevates the music to a level that not only inspires people but also uplifts those who are in a fog, seeking a way out. As you can see, Soca music has the power to inspire you to reach new heights, and when combined with the right artist and the right motivation, it can be the solution.

At Sokah2Soca, we sometimes hesitate to write about a song or singer for various reasons. We think everyone will get this song's message, even though we sometimes fail to deliver the right message. However, after some prodding from Nikki G of "The Voice," we are now fully committed to ensuring that Aisha's music receives the recognition it deserves. Stay tuned to Nikki G's "Table Talk Show" for her interview with the artist. So, what are you waiting on? Press play and spread the message we want the world to understand: there is "Nothing Like Soca!"

A message from the artist (Aisha Noel):

Soca music lovers need to get their heads out of the sand and seek bangers elsewhere. Soca music is going places, and there are many artists 'out there' making some good music, and we need to take notice. Today we give you "Liquor" by Mad Hed City. Need we say it? Yes, we will. From the YouTube music post:
Trinidad-born recording artist Mad Hed City drops a high-energy Jouvert anthem, "Liquor, just in time for Carnival! This track is a celebration of resilience, rhythm, and revelry, urging partygoers to "hold your liquor" and keep the vibes alive. With infectious hooks, pulsating rhythms, and playful lyrics, "Liquor" captures the spirit of Jouvert—drenched in water, rum, and boundless energy.

The song brings a cheeky challenge to balance your rum on your head while dancing, and for those without a cup, glass, or bottle—grab a dipper and join the fun! Whether you're whining down the road or lifting your cup to the skies, "Liquor" is the ultimate soundtrack for your Carnival mornings. Mad Hed City delivers the call to action: stay balanced, stay bold, and keep the party flowing!

It would be considered malpractice not to post this Power Soca offering from the anointed King of Soca, Machel Montano. This one should head to the front of the class for Road March consideration. We are aware that this is a long way off and many more Power Soca releases are on the horizon. Having said that, come on now, this is MM, and he has dropped this energizer bunny track for Carnival 2025. As you prepare to feed the carnival beast, ensure you have fully charged your batteries. This is MM's offering from the Kubiyashi-produced album "Bring Back Riddim," and Machel is taking it all to the bank!

"Wave It" was co-written by Gamal "Skinny Fabulous" Doyle, Machel Montano, and Alex "Kubiyashi" Barnwell, and after listening to the music and taking in the lyrics, we believe, at this moment, that this song is set to take control for Carnival 2025. Who knows, maybe something special may come along, but for this moment in time, this is your leader for the Road March competition. Yes, I know we are a long way off, but that is what we are here for, and for you to put us in our place if needed.

In the end, we believe that this is an excellent new music release. Initially, that was not the case, but after playing the song a second time, we became believers. Don't tell that to George "Ian" Jorine of Islandvybe Radio. He would say, "Yeah, right, if you say so!" Sigh, don't be a hater; just turn up the volume and break out into a joyous sweat with MM as he beckons you to "Wave It" for Carnival 2025!

If you love listening to the faster variety of Soca music, aka Power Soca, then you are in for a treat. Today we present a track that will surely have you dancing the night away. But wait, this song, "Party Time" from "Bring Back Riddim," is the one to use in the gym to get fit and ready for Carnival 2025. The energy is raw and is a testament to the producer, Kubiyashi. Skinny Fabulous and Kubiyashi co-wrote "Party Time," which, along with the music production, is sure to become one of your favorites as we gear up for Carnival 2025.

Indeed, those who have been following Skinny Fabulous and Kubiyashi, who is also from Saint Vincent, know that they are renowned for infusing their music with a vibrant energy. This is pure and essential fête music; this is music that should vie for the road march in any territory. Unfortunately, Skinny cannot vie for the Road March title (on his own) in Trinidad and Tobago. Machel Montano's "Wave It," a sidekick song from the same album, will have the final say.

We, at Sokah2Soca, like the vibe and love the energy that Skinny Fabulous and Kubiyashi bring to this Riddim. The two songs released are exactly what the "energy doctor" ordered. So, press play, "tun up" the volume, and get ready to break out in a sweat! Take this musical journey with Skinny Fabulous and let him put you in a carnival state of mind. Don't you just love it?
