Party Like This by Rick Ram

Originally posted on the blog Sokah2Soca (www.sokah2soca.com). We bring you only the best new music, while Island Vybe Radio rocks it live on the air!

Today  we are playing catch-up with a few posts. The songs are being posted without much to say about the music. You will serve as the evaluator and jury for these posts. This is post number four, "Party Like This" by Rick Ram.

"Party Like This" is a collaboration of remarkable talents. The song was penned by Tempo & Kyle Weekes. Badjohn Republic and Robert Nicholas took the helm as producers, ensuring that the song's production quality is top-notch. The intricate tabla rhythms played by Ajnisb Mohip add an extraordinary layer of depth to the track, giving it a distinctive vibe that sets it apart. Harmonizing in the background, Karyce Phillips lends her beautiful vocals, adding another dimension to the song. The impeccable mixing and mastering by Madmen Productions ensure that every beat and note hit just right.

Although "Party Like This" isn't a traditional chutney soca track, its inclusion of the tabla brings an authentic touch that resonates with chutney soca fans. This fusion of different musical elements showcases the versatility of the genre and Rick Ram's ability to innovate while staying true to his musical roots. They did not hesitate to label this track 'chutney soca'—it' is not! This is a  hybrid music vibe.

Rick Ram's "Party Like This" is a testament to the evolution of Soca vibe and chutney music instrumentation. By blending traditional elements with contemporary sounds, the track offers something fresh and exciting for listeners. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the genre, this song is a must-listen.

Rum & Rhythm by Ravi B

Originally posted on the blog Sokah2Soca (www.sokah2soca.com). We bring you only the best new music, while Island Vybe Radio rocks it live on the air!

Today we are playing catch-up with a few posts. The songs are being posted without much to say about the music. You will serve as the evaluator and jury for these posts. This is post number three, "Rum & Rhythm," by Ravi B.

Ravi B has proven time and again that he is not just a proven Chutney Soca artist but an artist who can deliver sweet Soca music. Today we have a futuristic Soca track with the rhythm to go along with the rum that sweetens any fete. This music is different, and we should get into the weeds a little. The song was co-written by Kyle Weekes and Ravi B and brought to life under the production mastery of Badjohn Republic and Robert Nicholas. The song features the mesmerizing sounds of the tabla played by Ajnisb Mohip, adding an authentic touch that seamlessly blends with the soca beats. The enchanting background vocals of Karyce Phillips provide the perfect harmony, elevating the song's overall vibe. The final touch came from Madmen Productions, who mixed and mastered the track to perfection, ensuring every beat resonates with the listener.

This production delivers on a vibe that is familiar yet different. We love the production, and Rav B delivered on the vocals. Ravi B continues to innovate, and with this production team, delivered something different, something special for this Carnival season.
