Jaiga is up to his old tricks with his friend "Preedy" whispering in his ears, it is "Just Ah Whine"! So, do you really think that it is "Just Ah Whine"? Seriously now, you get the chance to whine with someone you have been watching all night, it was awesome and you say to her, 'Thank you' and walk away... seriously?!?!
Well Jaiga and songwriter "Preedy", I beg to differ! It is not "Just Ah Whine" and to be honest, that is not the behavior of a warm-blooded Trini! It can be, if you are in a hammock under the shade of trees enjoying the beautiful Caribbean breeze... a fantasy, and in that case, it can be anything you want it to be, "Just Ah Whine".
That was just some fun for the readers. So what about the song? I like it but to be honest they will have to do a lot of promotion to get this one to hook. There are so many new artists and a deluge of new songs being released every week. Let's see how this one does. We differ our comments to the YouTube notes below. All in all, we like like it!
YouTube Notes:
In "Just Ah Whine," Jaiga offers a sultry and seductive narrative. The track tells the story of a passionate dance, with Jaiga's smooth vocals drawing listeners into the heat of the moment. The song's intriguing storyline adds depth and intrigue to the riddim.

Kes The Band and Travis World are playing with emotions and exploring love and relationships with this newly released song titled "Cut Meh Loose". This song is a keeper for your 2024 Soca music playlist; this song will be very popular, so don't sleep on it! The song has a catchy beat, upbeat lyrics, and a relatable message about a man who is trying to convince his lover to stay with him, even though she is leaving him.
It is easy to equate words and feelings felt with something we have already experienced or a foreshadowing of what is to come. One would think that when Kes says, "We go mash up and come right back" and "cut me loose", that, in the end, everything would work out. Aww, don't count on that happening for Carnival at all! He is telling her that he understands that she wants to leave, but he is asking her to give him one more chance. This song talks about still being in love with someone, risking it all, and doing whatever it takes to win the person's love back.
The song ends with the man repeating the chorus, pleading with his lover to stay. The song is a beautiful and moving ballad about love and loss. It is sure to resonate with listeners who have ever been through a similar experience.
In addition to its catchy beat and upbeat lyrics, "Cut Meh Loose" is also notable for its social commentary. If you are currently going through heartbreak or just can't understand the tone or direction of the relationship, then don't have this song on replay. It will hurt a bunch. Having said that, for many, the song's message is one of hope and empowerment, and it is sure to inspire listeners to fight for what they love.
