Is it too early to call it? We didn't think so, and today we begin the countdown to Carnival 2026 in Trinidad and Tobago. Well, let the countdown begin! Mical Teja just dropped Weekend (TGFW), and the energy is already buzzing with Carnival fever. This excellent song is a production of the dynamic duo of Mical Teja and ace music producer Tano. This is an excellent song, a masterclass in polished production,  vibrant instrumentation, and pure Soca joy. From the first horn burst to the last bass groove, Weekend (Thank God Fuh the Weekend and Whine too eh) isn’t just a song—it’s a full-blown celebration. After working hard all week, it is time to play—time for the weekend! We are all about excellence, and we celebrate this music release with all Sokah2Soca followers!

The team responsible for this song needs to stay together; we expect more musical excellence from this team. Teja's vocals, crisp and infectious, set the tone for movement. Then there is the master himself; Tano's production is flawless —balanced, bold, and unmistakably Carnival-coded. Add Kevin “Vexmony” Beharry’s mixing and mastering finesse, Josh Richardson’s brilliant live brass, and Jerry-Lee David’s soulful background vocals… and you’ve got a track that doesn’t just play—it performs. We don't need to tell you that the weekend is when we play and have fun; this song just reminds us to go out and shed our inhibitions.

Were you expecting Tano to make such a swift impact on Soca music? Did he just creep up on you? Tano isn’t just delivering hits; he’s redefining what it means to produce Soca music. Tano has proven to be a versatile and consistent music producer and has a knack for teaming up with the right singers. He is firmly establishing himself as one of Trinidad and Tobago's finest, if not the finest, producers. Teja is not just a singer but he too can produce excellent music!  We believe that Teja's musical collaboration serves as the vital core of the upcoming Soca generation. No shade to the rest of the Caribbean, but Trinidad and Tobago, in my humble opinion, produces the best 'Groove Soca Music,' bar none!

Their collaboration inspires other producers, vocalists, and creatives to enhance their artistic abilities. If Weekend (TGFW) is a sign, Teja and Tano are about to unleash something truly remarkable.  As Sokah2Soca watches this powerhouse duo shape what’s to come, there’s little doubt that Carnival 2026 will be a defining moment for both Teja and Tano—and possibly, a defining moment for Soca music itself.

So go ahead—turn up the volume  and give thanks for the weekend. Teja and Tano just gave us a reason to start the party early. We are watching and will continue to bring you all the new music releases.

We are feeling the Friday vibe, which has influenced our current direction. We did not plan to post this song again, but Dansa made it happen. Klassic Frescobar's Dennery Segment Soca track is tearing up timelines and crossing borders across continents like a carnival storm.

Dansa's music is spreading from the Caribbean basin, across the diaspora, from New York to London, and even on the African Continent. The beat is infectious and more importantly, the vibe is undeniable.

We are posting this song just because—and yes, just because it’s blowing up worldwide. Press play and immerse yourself in the rhythm of a genre that defies local boundaries.
