Summer has arrived, and today we bring some sunshine straight from Trinidad & Tobago. Trinidad & Tobago is known for its Calypso, Steelpan, Soca, Limbo, and much more. This is a special presentation of two songs by Mr. Desmond. On Sokah2Soca, we have a list of Calypso mixes done by Mr. Desmond, along with this sweet Steelband presentation.
The songs are "Oye Cómo Va" and "If I Never See You Again"—they are exceedingly sweet! This was part of the Sunday show on WACK Radio 90.1 FM in 2023. Fall In Love Again by Rikki Jai: Love Hurts

Here we go with another victim of love. Yes, love hurts, and it does not matter what you do or what anyone says; you will hurt for a while. Then one day you wake up and the sound of the birds sounds sweet, the sunshine feels better on your skin, and you realize that yes, you are whole again and ready to repeat that love-sick moment—Tabanka!
This song is presented as a Chutney Soca, but it feels like a song that falls between both musical styles. For this post, we feature the new song by Rikki Jai but also post the original song from which this song developed. Sundar Popo is still a boss, and after listening to his songs, you will have a better understanding of how good he was and the reason for his longevity.
"Fall in Love Again" is a really nice track by Rikki Jai. They went to great lengths to provide a video that was pleasant to view and a visual storyline that matched the lyrics. What else is there to say? We love it, and we think you will appreciate this production.

Pray by Voice: Song for a lonely soul

Sometimes one can feel alone and isolated on an island devoid of answers to one's purpose. Sometimes, you have to reach out and ask for help. You are not alone, and all you need to do is ask for help from your fellow man. Sometimes it is as simple as asking for someone to 'pray for me'. Aaron "Voice" St. Louis fills that empty space with a song that shares a feeling that you may not know how to express.
Every day, as individuals, we keep fighting personal demons that tend to place a heavy burden on us. As men, we put forth an image and personality that conceal the pain we feel inside. Self-empowerment means breaking these burdensome limits we place on ourselves and opening up, thereby giving us the freedom to experience our limits while, at the same time, providing growth that helps us defeat the negative thoughts that keep us down. This is a song for the season, as well as one for this moment in time. We hope you enjoy the song and music production as much as we do. Just "pray for me," your fellow man.
Always remember, you are not alone. Stay positive, reach out to someone you trust, bare your soul, and become self-evident and ready to rule your space and time on Earth.
