The music scene for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' summer carnival 2025 is intensifying! Today we drop one that can be considered the 'vibe setter.' It is a song that brings the vibe for Carnival 2025; it is an electrifying song that channels the essence of Soca with a host of talented people involved in the making of this excellent music release.

The pace is fast and features excellent vocals from Hance John, who delivers that infectious energy synonymous with Vincy Mas. This song has the potential to rule parties across SVG during Carnival 2025.  But what truly elevates this production is the powerhouse team behind it. Party Like We comes alive, thanks to the dynamic duo of John “Captain John” Rickards and Alex “Kubiyashi” Barnwell, with the signature polish of Kubiyashi Productions and final mastering finesse by Rodney “Chemical X” Caruth.

An incredible array of musicians are involved in this production along with an elite squad of background vocalists, including the talented WildFire, Rukersha Jackson, VC Tyga, and Rodney Caruth. Their collective harmonies add richness to the song, layering the melody with undeniable depth.

There is a feeling I get when I listen to the song, and if you listen well, maybe you can sense the air of royalty hovering over his song.  From the moment the beat drops, there’s an unmistakable familiarity in the song’s energy and arrangement—it’s almost as if it was crafted with the King of Soca, Machel Montano, in mind. The driving rhythms, pulsating basslines, and captivating vocal dynamics all evoke the essence of a classic Montano production. And while it carries the weight and style of a song fit for Soca royalty, full credit must go to the masterminds behind it—each artist and producer who poured their expertise into making Party Like We a carnival hit.

The result is a song that ignites the roads, energizes festivals, and serves as a reminder of why soca is the vitality of the Caribbean. Prepare to amp up the volume, as "Party Like We" is set to take control of radio play as Vincy Mas 2025 prepares to light up the Caribbean basin with sweet music vibes.

Mother's Day is a time to celebrate the strength, sacrifices, and unwavering love of mothers everywhere. Few songs in the chutney soca genre better express the spirit of maternal devotion than "A Mother's Love" by the late, outstanding Chutney Soca King, Sundar Popo.

This song is just one of the timeless tunes that Sundar Popo, the father of Chutney Soca, gave us. The poignant lyrics and soulful beat of "A Mother's Love" serve as a reminder that a mother's love is timeless, unadulterated, and irreplaceable, regardless of where life leads us.

Let's take a moment on this special day to thank the women who have influenced our lives with their wisdom and kindness. Let's honor the mothers who improve the world, whether it be by giving them a tender hug, sending a sincere message, or just listening to this classic tune.

To all the wonderful mothers out there, happy Mother's Day! I hope you have a day full of happiness, love, and the lovely sounds of chutney soca.
