Well, listen up because the past traveled to the future and landed in the present thanks to Keshav of Jus Now fame. “Carnival Soul” is Jus Now stepping into 2026 with intention—drums, memory, and a feeling bigger than the road. It’s a track that pulls you straight into the emotional center of Trinidad’s festival, bridging Soca’s past and its future in one clean swing.
From the first bar, the song plays like a love letter to Carnival. Keshav writes of Soca as lifeblood—the thing that stays in your chest long after the trucks shut down. The vocals carry that familiar ache Carnival people know well: the countdown, the nostalgia, and the replayed moments.

In 'Carnival Soul,' Jus Now member Keshav delivers an anthemic ode to the sound of Soca, the score to Trinidad's Carnival. Produced by Sam & Keshav of Jus Now and prominently guided by an infectious sample of iconic Trinidadian Composer Ralph MacDonald's 17 minute 1970s Opus, "The Path," Keshav pays homage to the elemental roots of the genre. MacDonald is best known as the producer of Bill Withers' "Just The Two Of Us." In true Jus Now fashion, the sample is replayed by Soca Brass kings Uppercut Brass and steelpan genius Derron Ellies. Keshav, who has released a string of vocal records of late, bards on the uncommon blend of ancient African & Indian drums and melodies that come together to make Soca: one of the most potent sounds in World Music today.
