The message is always in the music; the vibe moves the people, but it is the DJ who puts it all together and moves the event, making it a success. As mentioned in earlier posts, we are one family: Island Vybe Radio and Sokah2Soca. Today, for this post, we present one of the young guns from the radio station. This mix features a work of passion by Jalen "Jay" Brannon, aka DJ TremorJayy. Just press play, and you will become a fan of this young man.

Jay is a Queens native, born and raised in New York City, with roots reaching across the ocean to Haiti. This is going to be fun because our intention is to enlist this future DJ star to provide the Haitian mixes we promised readers of Sokah2Soca. Watch this space for Haitian music installments.

Jay has a lot going on. He now resides in Delaware, with his heart in Queens and music pumping out of Island Vybe radio in Philadelphia. Jay is currently pursuing a degree in psychology with a focus on behavioral analysis. Don't mess with this young man and his music because he has the brains to school you!

We invite you to listen to the wizardry of DJ TremorJayy; share this post and tell your friends about this mixtape. When you visit your social media pages, please share this post and invite your friends to follow TremorJayy, Sokah2Soca, and Island Vybe Radio. So, what are you waiting for? Press play and enjoy some excellent Caribbean music mixed by one of Delaware's finest, DJ TremorJayy!

From the DJ:
DJ TremorJayy’s 4th Mixtape installment brings you the best blends of Soca and Afro-Rabòday from the beautiful Caribbean islands. This mix presents music from artists such as TonyMix, Patrice Roberts, Ricardo Drue, and so many more! If you are curious about Rabòday - It is a mixture of traditional Haitian rhythm with pop-rock music.

Just "Fuh Spite," we are back with Kes the Band and their anthem from January 2023. Today they debuted the official music video, just in time for Carnival 2024. Yes, we are aware that this is unusual to repackage and post again, but this is Kes, and Kes can do no wrong.

The music video presents the music and culture that we love so much. As much as the song tells a story, the video presentation adds color and life to the culture of Trinidad and Tobago. We love the vibe, and even though it is a song we know from Carnival 2023, we think it will do just fine for Carnival 2024! Enjoy...

Damn, Bunji, and these thought-provoking songs. Once again, Bunji has penned a song that people are talking about. Most of the time people say they love the song simply because it sounds good (to them) but sometimes the lyrics simply get overlooked. What do you think about the lyrics for this one? The vibe is right and it feels good but the lyrics...

This is a hit of Miss Ok Bunji, here is our take on the events taking place in this song
If you think that I am all about you or even thinking about you, please don't flatter yourself and your importance. I respect you, and maybe you are accustomed to thinking that everything said or done around you is about you. No, I was not even thinking about you!

You imagined eyes boring into your back, dissecting every twitch and nervous move, making you so self-conscious. Your mind is spinning stories, weaving conversations from snippets of laughter and perceived glances your way.

In reality, the situation and scene are buzzing with their own oblivious symphony, unaware of the silent drama playing out in your head, where even a glance in your direction becomes a coded message or taunt.

Your mind became a twisted prism, bent every ray of attention into a searing beam of scrutiny, turning the harmless hum of everyday life into a cacophony of perceived judgment.

"The Last" was recently released for Trinidad and Tobago's 2024 carnival celebrations. The song features DJ Private Ryan and College Boy Jesse. This song reminds me of my late brother-in-law, who passed away from COVID-19 complications in 2020. He always said to me, "One life to live, Panda, party hard!"

This post states the obvious, and if you were not paying attention, it (The Last) focuses on appreciating the present moment and making the most of life. It reminds listeners that life is short and unpredictable, so we should cherish every moment and celebrate each other.

The song features an upbeat tempo, a catchy beat, and vibrant instrumentation typical of Soca. Both DJ Private Ryan and College Boy Jesse bring their distinct styles to the song, blending DJ Ryan's energetic production with College Boy Jesse's smooth vocals.

We will conclude this post with the following: live, love, and be happy because we don't know what tomorrow has in store for us!
