We’re officially adding a new name to our radar—and yours. Meet Imani, a male vocalist from Trinidad whose latest release, "In Front of Meh," just dropped and already has us vibing. The music feels good, the groove is clean, and his voice is captivating. Instantly likable. There's something refreshingly unforced about his delivery—confident without being loud, melodic without being predictable.

Though he’s still an unknown entity in the Soca scene, we’re betting that won’t last long. Sokah2Soca is proud to spotlight this rising talent and help bring awareness to an artist we believe is destined for big things in the industry. The production (by Twista, under Trini2dMax Ent) is tight, and the energy is right where it needs to be for a breakout moment.

Note for our followers:
Don't let the name confuse you: this is not Imani Ray, the female Soca artist with Trini roots based in NYC. We love her too—but this post is all about the male Imani from Trinidad. Despite sharing the same name, these two artists exude distinct vibes. We’ll be keeping track of both.

If you’re into discovering new voices before they blow up, this one’s for you. Let’s give Imani the love and visibility he deserves.

DJ Private Ryan’s Short Summer Island Education (Semi Clean Edition) is more than a mixtape—it’s a cultural dispatch from the heart of Caribbean carnival. In just under an hour, Ryan curates a rhythmic syllabus that spans Grenada’s jab jab heat, St. Lucia’s melodic grooves, and Trinidad’s lyrical mischief. Some songs feature bold and cheeky lyrical content. Consider them flirtatious and risqué themes, but always keep the vibe alive.

You know the saying, "Don't trouble trouble"; this mix does not completely sanitize the music but rather celebrates it. With leading Caribbean Soca artists in charge, Private Ryan stitches together a sonic journey that’s both educational and exhilarating. It’s a reminder that Caribbean music isn’t just about wining and rum—it’s about storytelling, resistance, and the joy and heartbeat of the people. For listeners craving a taste of the islands without the full rawness, this edition strikes the perfect balance: spicy, but palatable.

As you tackle your Saturday morning chores, what better way to make the task enjoyable than by listening to the man whose mixes dominate YouTube? This is the essence of DJ Private Ryan. He is adept at creating the ideal ambiance and guaranteeing flawless execution. Enjoy the music.
