Wotless by Kes the Band was a big hit, so what happens if you behave more wotless than Kes? Well, first of all, you need to work on a vibe that brings out the spirit of an enjoyable carnival music jam. Is that a Calypso vibe, or is it something else? Soca or Jab Soca may work, but the true feel of a jam-down vibe is a bottle and spoon jam. For that, you should aim for a "CalypSoca" vibe! CalypSoca has the Soca feel of the drum kit, but everything else feels like an old school calypso vibe. Right, create it and call it the Sugar and Spice Riddim.

Today we feature a song entitled "Shades" from the "Sugar & Spice" album. Lavaman delivers something special for the album. He just may be more wotless than Kes! This song feels like Shades of 'Wotless', not in sound but in feel. If you want that Spice-Mas vibe, if you want to party like they do in Grenada, or if you just want to behave 'outrageously wotless' for Carnival 2023 on the Spice Isle, get to know the songs on the "Sugar & Spice" album.

Do you love Nwantiti? Well, if you did not know the song (where have you been?) you will fall in love with this rendition by Heritage Petroleum Skiffle, aka Skiffle Bunch. This presentation is one of many we will feature for the current Pan in the 21st Century competition in Trinidad and Tobago.

Heritage Petroleum Skiffe Steelband is one of the most popular steel bands in Trinidad and Tobago. It is known for its energetic performances and innovative arrangements. Skiffle Bunch, as they are affectionately known, is a vibrant and dynamic part of the Trinidad and Tobago music scene. It is a band that is constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries of steel pan music. Led by Junia Regrello, this band remains one of the more popular steel-bands from San Fernando.

The Heritage Petroleum Skiffle Steelband presented a big band sound at the preliminary round of Pan. Century competition. We wish them well.

Tik Pon Di Tok is the latest Soca song by Barbadian artist Jus D. It was released on May 28, 2023, and is one of the many songs played during Barbados' Crop Over festival. Jus D is one of the singers who always brings music that people love to 'wuk up' to in a very sensual manner. We love the vibe!

The song is a catchy, upbeat tune that gets people dancing. The lyrics are about having fun and enjoying life, and the song's positive message will resonate with listeners. Now, if you find that the music sounds familiar, then you are correct, your auditory processes are not fooling you. The music was sampled from the very popular track "Pump Me Up" by the Bajan band Krosfyah with lead vocalist Edwin Yearwood.

Tik Pon Di Tok is an excellent addition to the Soca music scene, and it is sure to be a hit at Crop Over and beyond.
