Fans of Soca and lovers of Caribbean music, we believe this post has the potential to be a memorable moment (mic drop) for the curator of this song listing. Nikki G, "The Voice," is here to shake things up with her Top 10 Soca Songs for Carnival 2025. Be aware that these are her choices as of December 21, 2024; she plans to modify the list (true Tini talk: make changes, nah) as new music releases and unique opportunities arise.

But wait a moment; perhaps you're unaware of Nikki's awesome talent! Well, excuse me for being so rude! Let's go to the Island Vybe Radio website and extract some useful information: "Known by many across the media and Caribbean entertainment landscape as Nikki G-The Voice, the Trinidad and Tobago-born voiceover talent, digital media professional, and podcast host is making waves internationally."

Nikki G, the host of the Saturday morning talk show where she interviews prominent figures in music and culture, has a keen understanding of the Soca music scene! Her song choices demonstrate her attentiveness and avoidance of the day's hype.

Despite her reluctance to admit it (we assumed she would), she is challenging the Island Vybe Philly Radio DJs today with her carefully chosen playlist. Some of the songs she has selected are ones I personally enjoy listening to. There are many facets to 'Carnival music,' and the same is true for all Soca music. These are not Carnival wine and jam selections but sweet Soca music selections. Please consider this before commenting on Nikki's song selections. What are your thoughts on Nikki's song selections? Do you feel her vibe, and are they some of your own favorites?

Let us know what you think about these songs and tell us if we can find common ground with these selections. Stay tuned and keep the vibes alive. We have more DJ selections to post!

As we gear up for Carnival 2025, it's time to get a sneak peek into what's on the minds of today's top DJs. We start with Island Vybe Radio, where our DJs have curated a special list of their top ten Soca songs that they're currently enjoying. In addition to YouTube and radio requests, these songs are currently popular with DJs.

This is the second post, showcasing the selections of the highly talented DJ Tremorjayy. As mentioned in our first post, we stated: Just to ensure that everyone is on the same page, I did not ask for the most popular songs via YouTube views or requests made to radio stations or even plays on popular music platforms. This pertains to the current preferences of the DJ. The DJ's preferences could shift tomorrow or with the release of new music.

TremorJayy had this to say
"My Top 10; I'm sure my list will change by next week, lol, but this is it as of the last few days."

These tracks are sure to set the party vibe and keep the energy high throughout Carnival season. Remember, the goal is not to compile a hit list (though that could happen if the DJ and the public share the same sentiments), but rather to gain insight into potential sources of hits. After all, in the realm of Soca music, DJs and radio stations serve as the primary sources for the next big song! So enjoy the compilation and share your feedback.

What is on the minds of today's DJs for Carnival 2025? We are about to find out, and today we start with Island Vybe Radio. Everyone is aware that a DJ must understand the vibes of a party crowd to deliver a set that will ignite the party. Having said that, we are in the mood for our DJs to curate a 'what are you feeling today' type of list. I asked our Island Vybe DJs to submit a list of their top 10 songs that they are currently enjoying.

To ensure consensus, I did not solicit the most popular songs from YouTube views, radio station requests, or even plays on popular music platforms. This pertains to the current preferences of the DJ. The DJ's preferences could shift tomorrow or with the release of new music.
